The shuttle run

This is an important step in the recruitment process in becoming a police officer. It helps assess agility, speed, and endurance, which are essential qualities in many roles, especially those requiring quick rate of reaction or quick decision-making.

It provides a standardized measure of an individual's ability to accelerate, decelerate, change direction, and sustain effort, making it a valuable tool for evaluating overall fitness and athleticism.

In our program we will evaluate all athletes performance. Help with guiding athletes through shuttle specific training and provide a type of training that will help you develop to reach your goal.

This hands‑on course 3‑Hour Intensive gives police applicants a clear, repeatable approach to talking to people in crisis, finding workable solutions, and reducing the likelihood of use of force. Training is led by a 25‑year veteran of Hamilton Police and combines real cases and drills using immersive virtual reality simulation systems for scenario‑based training and evaluation.

The PIN Test

This is an important step in the recruitment process for a career in law enforcement. It provides a standardized measure of an individual’s flexibility, core endurance, and physical strength, which are essential qualities in many roles. You must achieve a score of at least 75%.

‍

Students will be introduced to these firearms using simulation technology, including virtual and mixed reality. Students can expect to fire more than 300 rounds in the simulator.
